Default Spark Speakers.

About the built in speakers in the front.
what is the quality like? is it fine or rubbish?

Also, what is the size of the speakers? is it 6.5 inch?

Thanks.

Default Speaker sizes

Hi, I have just bought a 2011 spark and dont think much of the speakers and want to upgrade. I am wondering if any one can confirm the sizes. It doesnt seem to be documented anywhere.

Any instructions on how to get them out would be appreciated.

2013 speakers, both front and rear are horrible. That's on the 2013 base model though. If you splurge they may be better. I think they are 6" though.

I rented one 1LT in Alantla last month. Yes the speakers are not able to handle any base. After turning the bass lvl to -4 the mid to +2 and the high to + 4 the radio sounded OK. But no bass. I just test drove a 2LT with 6 speakers. Don't ask me where the other two are. Me and the sales rep looked for two mins and couldn't find them. For the sound of that radio I'm guessing under the dash somewhere. The sound was much better over the 1LT but still bass is bad if radio is turn over volume 17. I plan on adding a preamped sub, or two for bass(I'm going to use a 5X7 preamped sub, have one in my convertible. It's small and does ok sound). And upgrading all factory speakers. After I get the car in another month or two if this question isn't anwsered fully I will reply with speakers diamentions. I'm pretty sure the rears are that odd 2.5 oval size.

Ok so I just rental one in Orlando for the week. I took some messurements. The top of the front speaker grills is 5". I would guess the speaker itself is an 5 1/4"- 5 1/2" speaker. As for the space inside of the dash, I don't know. I will have to wait till it get mine to take the dash apart. The rears are 3 1/2"X 5 1/2" Speaker size. And 3 3/4"X 5 7/8" Frame size. There is room for tweaters in the panel in front of the side mirrors if the car has power side mirrors.

Default Mystery Speakers?? The 3rd pair in LT's

I have 1LT that has the 6 speaker setup. But, can only find 4 speakers. 2 above the dash and 2 in the rear cargo cover panels.

Anyone know where the other 2 could be hiding???

The rears add a little bass, but could use more.

I had to wait much longer than told for the car. Picking it up Feb the 1st. So Il be able to answer the question of where are those last to speakers are soon.

Default speaker size

according to crutchfield the speakers are 4 inches in the front. The only thing they dont list is the rear speakers.

they are counting the tweeters built in the front speakers as speaker 5 and 6 from what i've read elsewhere.
