yes it's confirmed, chevy is claiming a single two-way speaker as two different speakers. The rears are 5 1/2" X 3 3/4". I replaced them with 5" rounds, you will only be able to use two of the mounting screws, which is enough.

mrmarky I replaced mine with 4x6's today I just posted a thread on my install. How are the 5 inch round speakers though?

Could you show some pictures on how you put the 5" round speakers in the back. I just bought my 2013 2LT Spark and the speakers have got to be replaced. I wanted to try and go a size up in the dash by using the speaker grill as a mounting base for 5.25" speakers but I don't quite know yet how they would fit. I will be putting a 10" sub and amp in the spare wheel area to get a little bass. I already have the amp and sub and I have the 4" round and 4 x 6 ovals on order but if I can go up to 5" (do they make a 5" or is it a 5.25") in the front and rear that would be even better.
